In supermarkets where loads of veggies is stacked and dumped, freshness may not be a priority. Keeping a track of all that’s been brought in can be time consuming and not all buyers may have a knack for freshness count.
The Fresh Code offers a simple solution to this problem; it’s an intelligent barcode with a graph that indicates the freshness level. As time passes by, the graph on the barcode keeps receding, till it finally reaches “0”; indicating that the veggie needs to be dumped and not sold.

Avatar Sets First-Day Blu-ray Sales Record
According to Reuters, Avatar set a record for first day Blu-ray sales by moving 1.5M copies the first day, even without 3D or any special features on the disc.
An early industry estimate set overall disc sales comfortably north of 4 million units, putting it well on track to become the year’s top-selling release to date. Blu-ray sales — at 1.5 million copies — well outpaced first-day sales of previous high-definition top dog “The Dark Knight.”
