A 103-year-old British woman who may be the world’s oldest Facebook user said she regularly browses the Web site on her iPad.
Lillian Lowe of Tenby, England, said she uses the Facebook app for the iPad to keep in touch with her 34 friends, including seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, The Sun reported Wednesday. “I love it — it’s very exciting. It’s a wonderful way of finding out about things,” she said of the iPad’s Facebook capabilities. “I recommend it for any grandparents to keep in touch with family.”

Obama signs extension of Bush-era tax cuts
President Barack Obama signed an $858 billion tax bill into law Friday, saying, “this is progress, and that’s what (the American people) sent us here to achieve.”
“We are here with good news for the American people this holiday season,” he said. “By a wide margin, both houses of Congress passed a package of tax relief that will protect the middle class, that will grow our economy and will create jobs for the American people.”
