Creating the ‘Last Supper’ out of laundry lint

Michigan-based artist Laura Bell says she had to do almost 800 hours of laundry to create enough lint for the reproduction of the masterpiece, and spent another 200 hours putting it together.

She began the seven-month project to compete in ‘ArtPrize 2010’ and says she was inspired to produce the 14-foot-long, 4-foot tall work after seeing other lint-based art-works.

To get the right colours, Bell bought towels in the colours that she wanted to use and then washed and dried them separately because laundromat lint isn’t a suitable art medium. We’re sorry if you think this it too much of a fluff piece.

Stolen MacBook Contains Research For Cancer Cure

Reason number 2,338,993 why you should back up your system on a regular basis. The lady that had her MacBook stolen is offering a $1000 reward but, if you stole that woman’s laptop, you need to just give it back and be glad she’s not pressing charges.

Unfortunately, most of the data was never backed up, a mistake Shin said could be a major setback in the fight against cancer. Some of that data can never be replicated. Other parts of that research could take up to two years to do over. That’s earth shattering considering 30,000 men die in the U.S. every year from prostate cancer, meaning people could lose their lives all because of a crime.

Obama administration moves forward with unique internet ID for all Americans

So anyway, what about this unique ID we’ll all be getting? Well, though details are still pretty scant, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, speaking at an event at the Stanford Institute, stressed that the new system would not be akin to a national ID card, or a government controlled system, but that it would enhance security and reduce the need for people to memorize dozens of passwords online. Sorry, Locke, sounds like a national ID system to us.
