100 people lift double decker bus to rescue cyclist trapped underneath

Today the cyclist is in a serious but stable condition in hospital, a day after some 100 bystanders helped pull him from underneath a bus. The 55-year-old man was in a collision with the double-decker bus in Walthamstow, London, yesterday evening.

After news of the accident spread through the locality, dozens of people ran out from nearby restaurants and businesses in a bid to help the man.
