Oops, Olivia Wilde Didn’t Want To Be Sexy In ‘Tron’

Olivia Wilde may have totally botched her role in Tron in her opinion…she wasn’t trying to be sexy at all! The former model and House actress actually meant the character to come off as a kind of androgynous Joan of Arc. Um…ooooookay.

The Cost of Higher Edumacation

Here’s what I posit to you today: did you pursue further learning, did you find a job in your chosen field and how much are you into The Man for in order to pay for it? Also, was it worth it?

November 22, 2010 is a date that will go down in history for my wife and I. There’s nothing particularly spectacular about today as far as the rest of the world is concerned but, for we two heads of the household, it is a day that will be marked by joyous celebration and possibly several unnatural and lewd acts. You see, today is the day that Mrs. Scott’s student loans are finally paid. We’ve been married for eleven and one half years and those loans have been floating ominously for longer than we’ve been a legalized union according to the government.

I must admit that I get a little bit giddy when I think of what wondrous and frivolous things we could spend this newly liberated chunk of revenue on, then I remember that we have three children, a big-ass mortgage and haven’t really been able to save anything due to fiscal constraints. I suppose that now we’ll get to start saving for the future and, while necessary, it isn’t nearly as exciting as hanging a new 60” LCD television on the wall in my study (I don’t actually have a study but it makes me sound smart and sophisticated).

Kissing Emma Watson Was Just ‘Okay’

Rupert Grint does not count himself among the massive number of males who probably want to smooch Emma Watson.

“It was actually okay,” Grint, 22, said of his onscreen kiss with Watson in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which opened in theaters Friday. “It was just the anticipation. Neither of us were looking forward to it.”

Grint does, however, acknowledge that may seem a bit unbelievable to most fans.

Motorola Defy | Petite Android Seeks Partner for Adventure

While other phones are going large, Motorola is taking things in a different direction: small and tough.

The new Motorola Defy is a compact Android phone that wisely eschews the gigantism of other smartphones. Instead of the HTC Evo’s 4.3-inch screen or the Dell Streak’s 5-incher (please!), the Defy, which is available now from T-Mobile in the United States, has a cute little 3.6-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels. It’s small and pocketable — shorter (but thicker) than an iPhone 4 and it’s light, weighing just 4 ounces.

Despite its diminutive size, the Defy goes big in one important area: its resistance to water and grit. The case is water-resistant and the screen is made of scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass, a hardened material found in a few other recent phones. If you’ve ever dropped your phone in the toilet, spilled a beer on it or pulled it out of your pocket along with half a pound of sand after a day at the beach, you’ll understand the appeal of these two features.

Mark Hamill Confirms Himself For Batman Arkham City

MARK HAMILL, the 59-year-old American actor and producer best known for his role as ‘Luke Skywalker’ in the original STAR WARS trilogy, has confirmed himself to provide the voice of ‘The Joker’ in the forthcoming ‘Batman’ video game ‘Arkham City’, reports Screenrant.com

Hamill has worked as a voice actor on a number of high-profile projects in recent years, including a cameo in ‘Futurama’, and he voiced ‘The Joker’ in the highly successful Batman game ‘Arkham Asylum’ in 2009. Speaking about his reasons for working on the game’s sequel, the 59-year-old admitted that he had originally planned to “go out on a high note” following the ‘Asylum’s’ massive success, but suggested that the “powers that be” in Hollywood did not take kindly to him wanting to walk away from the project.

What the length of your index finger says about you

The idea that the shape of your hands indicates something profound about your sexual proclivities, the films you like, your athletic ability and your prowess on the stock market seems bizarre.

And yet for many decades now, scientists have noticed an extraordinary link between the ratio of two digits on the hand — the ring and index fingers, known in scientists’ jargon as 2D and 4D — and a whole host of seemingly unrelated traits. Evidence is growing that this ‘digit ratio’, especially when applied to the right hand, is a fundamental indicator of sexuality, aggression and diseases suffered by men.
