Once the car was a familiar sight on the American roads, it did not take long for someone to create a motorhome. This photograph of a happy family in their home on wheels was published in 1909.

Scosche My Trek – iPhone Heart Rate Monitor
This is the heart rate monitor that wirelessly transmits pulse readings to an iPhone. The monitor straps comfortably to a forearm and automatically transmits readings via Bluetooth to an iPhone. A free app displays real-time pulse readings, target heart rate zones, calories burned, distance traveled, and speed.
The app allows you to input your weight, age, and gender to ensure accurate readings and provides audible prompts to help you maintain the ideal target heart rate. You can select a workout based on time, speed, or calories burned, it provides full access to the iPhone music library, and workout progress can be monitored through graphical workout summaries.
iPhone Virtual Reality Viewer
Using free downloadable applications that take advantage of an iPhone’s accelerometer–the 3D environments move when the iPhone is moved–the viewer is held to the eyes like a pair of binoculars; two finger holes in the bottom enable access to an iPhone’s touchscreen.
In addition to viewing 3D movie trailers, one can assume the persona of a Great White Shark (or other species) and roam underwater with 360º movement for prey and buried treasure, take a virtual tour of Los Angeles’ Santa Monica Pier to play a sampling of interactive games, or take part in an underground hovercraft race that requires tilting and panning the viewer/iPhone to steer.
AFG – Virtual Reality Treadmill
The included video player transmits first-person, high-definition video of trails, hills, and city streets in the majestic landscapes of northern Italy and the southwestern United States to a television. The treadmill automatically raises or lowers to simulate the incline of Venice’s cobblestone bridges as you stroll past gondolas docked on the Venetian Lagoon, the video automatically speeds up or slows down to match your pace, and the dual 5-watt speakers play the ambient sounds from the virtual destinations.
The treadmill has a durable 14-gauge steel frame and a large 20″ x 60″ running surface supported by a 1′ deck and patented cushioning that reduces impact on joints. Includes 15 workout programs, an integrated heart rate monitor and chest strap, an LED control panel, and an audio port for connecting an iPhone or iPod.
