Wi-Fi Households to Approach 800 million by 2016

Wi-Fi network use will nearly double in homes around the world come 2016, according to new Strategy Analytics research. Already used in some 439 million households worldwide, equivalent to 25% of all households, Wi-Fi home network penetration will expand to 42%, reaching nearly 800 million by 2016, according to the “Broadband and Wi-Fi Households Global Forecast 2012” report.

Hey, I have an idea! Let’s use stolen credit cards to buy our own music on iTunes and collect the royalties! Don’t laugh just yet, these guys pulled in close to $800,000 with this scam!

The leaders of an 11-strong gang which scammed iTunes and Amazon out of royalties to a level associated with acts like Madonna have been jailed. The gang members from Kent, Derby, Birmingham and Wolverhampton used stolen credit cards to buy their own music, pocketing £500,000 in royalties.

83-year old Evelyn Paswall is suing Apple after walking into the glass doors at the Apple Store Manhassett on Long Island reports CBS New York. She is asking for $75,000 in medical expenses plus punitive damages for negligence totaling $1 million.
