A New York man spent his entire $140,000 life savings advertising his prediction that the world will end May 21, the New York Post reported Friday.
Robert Fitzpatrick, a 60-year-old Staten Island resident, said he spent at least that sum on 1,000 subway-car placards and ads on bus kiosks and subway cars.
They say, “Global Earthquake: The Greatest Ever! Judgment Day May 21, 2011.”

Donald Trump says he is not running for president next year, ending weeks of speculation in which he dominated headlines about the 2012 race for the GOP nomination.
The real estate mogul and reality TV star says: “I am not ready to leave the private sector.”
His decision comes the day after NBC announced it would continue Trump’s show, The Celebrity Apprentice, with or without the real estate mogul as its host. The show will resume in January.
Trump said in a statement that he was confident he could beat the Republican field and, eventually, President Obama. He also vowed to continue to speak out on key issues such as the nation’s debt and its ability to compete with China in the global marketplace.

Sure its in poor taste, but is ranking girls on their appearance criminal? Apparently so, according to Oak Park, Illinois, police:
The teenager is believed to be responsible for a list that ranked 50 female students — using racial slurs and ratings of body parts — that circulated around the school and on Facebook, police said. The teen is accused of handing out hard copies of the list Jan. 14 at various lunch periods and posting a copy online, according to police.
