A 17-year-old Chinese boy decided to sell his kidney for 20,000 yuan so he could buy an iPad, the Shanghai Daily reports. But, he’s not feeling well now, and he’s regretting the decision. He had his kidney removed after being contacted by someone on the internet that specializes in this sort of things. When he came home from having his kidney removed his mother freaked out and tried to contact the person who bought his kidney.
The other day, having had enough of my own company, I was working on my laptop in a coffee shop, when a father and daughter sat down in the booth opposite me. The last time I had an actual meal on an airplane, it was almost certainly a frozen Banquet turkey and dressing dinner in a different package.
