Dalai Lama pizza joke backfires on TV host – Video

An Australian television presenter attempted to tell a Dalai Lama joke to the man himself, but struggled to raise a smile.

Karl Stefanovic from the Today show had to have elements of the joke translated to the Tibetan leader, and the play on words were met with a blank stare until the Dalai Lama laughed at Mr Stefanovic’s attempts to explain the humour.

Welcome to the United States of the RIAA: A new bill that just flew through a U.S. Senate committee could make embedding copyrighted videos a crime, punishable by five years in the pokey.

In effect, the bill is pretty simple. Senate Bill 978 takes existing copyright laws that make the reproduction and distribution of copyrighted works a felony and adds the pungent phrase “public performances by electronic means” (that is, video streaming) to the list of things that can land you in the slammer.

Apple Now Worth As Much As Microsoft, HP And Dell … Combined

If you look at how Apple fares on the public markets today, compared to other tech powerhouses, you’ll notice that the Cupertino computer giant is currently valued at roughly $301 billion, which is close to the sum of the market cap of three of its closest rivals: Microsoft (~$200.3 billion), Hewlett-Packard (~$72.8 billion) and Dell (~$29.3 billion).

Market cap is of course just one metric – and arguably not even the best one – to make comparisons between companies. It is, nevertheless, a most excellent trend barometer and a simple way to compare valuations.

The Lifesaving Question Doctors Forget to Ask

According to a new study, if you work an average of 11 or more hours per day, you have a whopping 67 percent higher risk of suffering from a heart attack than those who work a standard seven- to eight-hour day. While you may hope that those long workdays will pay off with career advancement and higher pay, your diligence may be undermining your health in the long run.
