Tiny Robot to Compete in 140-mile Hawaii Ironman Triathlon

Panasonic will be entering the Ironman competition this year in Hawaii. The entry will be in the form of a miniscule robot fitted with three separate body panels to allow the robot to compete. I don’t think Panasonic expects to win, but a finish would be another milestone for the little robot that already has an impressive list of accomplishments under its little plastic belt.

Man Has Raised His Arm Continuously For 38 Years

In 1970 Amar Mahant [of New Delhi] left his job, family and friends to dedicate himself to his religious beliefs. In 1973, the clerk raised his hand in honour of Hindu deity Shiva – and he hasn’t put it down since. It’s now been 38 years.

Amar’s followers claim his sacrifice is a beacon of peace, while others say he has given up the use of a limb in order to separate himself from the pleasures of mortal life.

Amar’s sacrifice has turned his arm into a useless stump of flesh and bone, with a gnarled hand and unclipped fingernails hanging from the end. He says he experienced years of excruciating pain in order to follow his beliefs, but the pain has now passed. What’s left of his arm is now stuck in the bizarre position, atrophied after years of non-use.

Buy A Phone at Best Buy, Get Flipped Off

Alien Chip Found in Napoleon’s Skull

Scientists examining the remains of Napoleon Bonaparte admit they are “deeply puzzled” by the discovery of a half-inch long microchip embedded in his skull. They say the mysterious object could be an alien implant — suggesting that the French emperor was once abducted by a UFO!

“The possible ramifications of this discovery are almost too enormous to comprehend,” declared Dr. Andre Dubois, who made the astonishing revelation in a French medical journal. Until now, every indication has been that victims of alien abduction are ordinary people who play no role in world events. Now we have compelling evidence that extraterrestrials acted in the past to influence human history – and may continue to do so!”

Dr. Dubois made the amazing find while studying Napoleon’s exhumed skeleton on a $140,000 grant from the French government.

Google Launches Disaster Prep Features

Even seen on a laptop screen, the images from last year’s San Bruno explosion are stunning.

But when flipped to different angles, and layered to reveal data and information, the images actually become helpful. At least, that’s what Google is hoping, as it rolls out new disaster preparation technology via its “Geo” team.

It’s technology that Google has been using – Maps and Earth – but now focused on how disaster victims and responders can take advantage of the software, especially considering how we’re all using mobile devices wherever we go.
