Utah State University’s Physics Department set a new record yesterday when it organized a ball drop greater than New Year’s Eve in Times Square. From 100 feet above a parking lot, a helicopter dropped 20,000 colorful bouncy balls. And the shocking result? They bounced, and the crowd went crazy.

Fort Wayne refuses to name gov’t building after Harry Baals

A new government building may officially be called Citizens Square, but to some not-so-square citizens it will always be the Harry Baals Government Center.

Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry announced the new city and county government center’s name Monday.

The most popular choice for the building in an online poll was the “Harry Baals Government Center.” The second-place finisher was “Thunder Dome.”
