The Stargate is made of fiberglass and is mounted on a welded steel frame, and features working lights behind the chevrons. This auction includes two metal stands. One stand rests the Stargate directly on the ground, and the other places the gate 20 inches from the ground. Stargate itself measures 22ft in diameter.

Tight-fitting T-shirts and hipster jeans would get even snugger if you could just spray them on. That idea just got a little less far-fetched. A liquid mixture developed by Imperial College London and a company called Fabrican lets you spray clothes directly onto your body, using aerosol technology.
After the spray dries, it creates a thin layer of fabric that can be peeled off, washed and reworn.

This plane is easily capable of supersonic speeds, and I wouldn’t be surprised if its speed wasn’t exceeding (or at least approaching) Mach 1. The fact that we’re moving somewhere around the speed of sound is important, and we’ll need to remember it for later.
But the star of the top picture is clearly the rainbow trail behind it. Most of you have seen such a rainbow trail before, similar to when you have the Sun shining on a film of soap or oil in a puddle on the street.
