Why do you happen to be alive on this lush little planet with its warm sun and coconut trees? And at just the right time in the history of the universe? The surface of the molten earth has cooled, but it’s not too cold. And it’s not too hot; the sun hasn’t expanded enough to melt the Earth’s surface with its searing gas yet.
Even setting aside the issue of being here and now, the probability of random physical laws and events leading to this point is less than 1 out of 100,000,000,000,000,000, 000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, equivalent to winning every lottery there ever was.

After millions of years of evolution and hundreds of academic hours of study, the verdict is in: dogs are smarter than cats.
Researchers at the University of Oxford in England have released a report in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences journal stating that highly social animals need more brain power than solitary species. Since the phrases “followed me like a puppy dog” and “as hard as herding cats” have become cliché, it follows that dogs’ brains are bigger relative to their size, according to a University of Oxford press release.

“Operation In Our Sites” Is what the Immigration and Customs office have called the seizures in the past. The strange thing is, they only seized the domains. No servers, hard drives, etc. were taken, so most of these sites are moving back up under new domain names. Some of the sites are torrent related, while others are sites who have been linked to counterfeit goods.

Passing through a security gate at an American airport, which requires either a full-body scan where T.S.A. guards ogle your naked body or an “enhanced” pat down where T.S.A. guards molest you. The T.S.A. is required by law to make the process as humiliating and abusive as possible.
I saw all the gate rape happening at the airport and decided to become a terrorist.
My sister got gate raped at LAX.
I am glad we just went though the body xray, that guy got gate raped!

CNET reports that Intel’s Light Peak, a high-speed connection standard capable of transferring data at 10 gigabits per second, will be arriving sooner than expected: sometime in the first half of 2011. And Apple’s poised to be an early adopter.
According to CNET’s industry source, Light Peak is “now on track to appear in products in the first half of 2011—and likely earlier in the year than later.” And if past reports are true, Apple could be among the first to incorporate it.
